Holi is one of the major festivals of India and is the most vibrant of all. The joys of Holi know no bound. The festival is celebrated across the four corners of India or rather across the globe. The festival is filled with so much fun and frolic that the very mention of the word ‘Holi’ draws smile and enthusiasm amongst the people.
Holi also celebrates the arrival of Spring, a season of joy and hopes. We at Kanossa Convent School School, celebrate this festival with a lot of zeal too. Here’s how we have a colourful time with our kids at our Holi celebrations.
Science has become an integral part of the modern world without which the whole structure of the society, risks a collapse. A science exhibition is an interface of science and society and it contributes towards creating awareness about science as well as creating enthusiasm in students.
A Science Exhibition was organized in our multi-purpose Hall, at Kanossa Convent School. The objective was not only to inculcate a scientific attitude and research- mindedness but also to enhance student’s interest in science and technology. The students showcased static and working models, which could be used for teaching and learning scientific concepts.It was indeed an exhibition which gave them exposure and confidence to present their thoughts and mind.
The informative models that were displayed by these students helped in better understanding of their subjects and the relevance of certain necessities invoked a sense of commitment towards nature. There were models displaying the various global warming ,earthquake alarm,landforms, solar system, constellation etc.All these significant topics inculcate in young minds the capability of creating a healthy future and leading us to it. The practical application of their scholastic knowledge helped them learn their concepts better. The success of the Social Science Exhibition renders a new tool of knowledge to young minds and enhances innovation and creativity amongst them
Keeping this in mind, Mathematics Exhibition was held at Kanossa Convent School. Students enthusiastically participated in the Exhibition and made wonderful, amazing models on various topics. The students made different models both still as well as working models.
Kanossa Convent School, celebrated the 74th Republic Day with immense patriotic fervour and zeal through an online platform. A plethora of competition were organised - Role play competition for Nursery to fifth , character portrayal competition for classes Sixth to Eigth to infuse the spirit of unity, brotherhood and patriotism among the students. With an objective to recapitulate and reinforce the effects of yellow colour, KG and Primary wing celebrated “Yellow day” on 18th January, 2023.
A day dedicated to the yellow colour was marked with children dressed in different hues and tints of yellow.
The motive of celebrating this yellow colour day was to make the children aware of yellow colour, its significance and to develop fine motor skills in the students. They spent the day with utmost enjoyment.
An animal themed décor was created to introduce and give the toddlers hands on learning and understanding about animals.The aim of the activity was to enable the students to identify the animals and understand that they share the environment with many other creatures.

environment by reusing and recycling waste material. Fantabulous ideas were demonstrated
using material like newspaper, old CDs, used plastic bottles, ropes, ice cream sticks, bangles,
shoe boxes etc.
Best out-of-waste simply means to make something innovative and attractive out of the material that is of no use otherwise. Creating something new from the old, recycling and upcycling, are the best ways to reduce one's carbon footprint.
Debate helps learners to see the power of deploying rational, reasoned arguments and compelling evidence in action. It enables them to elucidate their standpoint through utilizing rhetorical eloquence. It instills in debaters a great sense of poise and confidence. Halloween’s Day was celebrated with a fun filled exciting fancy dress parade in the Kindergarten Department. There were very happy Superheroes, Fairies, Witches, Goblins and other interesting characters walking around. Excited faces were seen everywhere as children posed for photographs to the equally thrilled parents.

Rangoli is an art which precedes sculpture & painting. It is a custom to draw rangoli at the site of any auspicious religious ritual such as holy festival, a religious festival etc.
Diya Decoration Activity was held on 22nd of October . The main purpose of this activity was to explore the students imagination ,creativity and celebrate the Festival of Lights in its true spirit. All students participated enthusiastically in the activity. The students displayed their creativity by beautifully colouring and decorating the Diyas . It was sheer and a great experience for all our students.

Show and Tell Activity is orgqanised to strengthen the verbal skills and to foster public speaking competency of the young minds.
The students participated in this activity which helped them to build their self-confidence and self-esteem. It enabled them to improve their descriptive skills by communicating feelings, thoughts and emotions with words.
Expressions - an English poetry recitation competition, was held for the junior wing students. Children expressed their thoughts, feelings, rhyme and rhythm with confidence.
Orange colour Day was celebrated with zest. Orange is a dynamic colour and stimulates imagination and creativity. Our little kids were dressed in shades of orange, shining brightly. The children learnt various other things about the orange colour which also symbolizes enthusiasm, hope and prosperity

With an aim to break the monotony and enhance creativity of children, a ‘Flower Making’ ACTIVITY was conducted for the students of class 3 to 5. As soon as the little artists started working with nimble fingers, the classrooms were bathed in amazing hues of different flowers. For some children, a cut here and a fold there, a masterpiece was ready soon while some worked painstakingly to create their pieces of art. The classrooms looked like little gardens with beautiful roses, lilies, dahlias, buttercups, daisies and so many more. The activity was like a breath of fresh air for the students.
Kanoosa Convent School provided a stage to the stars of Standard VI to VIII by organising Mehendi competition on 29th July 2022. Children created beautiful designs in different themes. Mehendi reflects the rich Indian culture bringing together the knowledge of medicinal herbs with many lovely sentiments and beliefs. The result is a ceremony filled with fun and joy.
All the students and teachers came dressed up in the different shades of green and the classes became vibrant with the beautiful green backgrounds.These activities helped children to develop fine motor coordination, focus, encourage self-expression and stimulate creativity. Painting Builds Fine Motor Skills
They're building finger, wrist and hand strength, while improving their hand-eye coordination. Fine motor skills are developing rapidly in young children aged 0 to 6, and this is the prime time to encourage them with suitable painting activities.Therefore palm painting activity is organised at KCS for our little toddlers.

The Summer Cam 22-23,was organised by Kanossa Convent School which began from 16th May'22 to 31st May'22.Fun filled activites for the anxious children was a delightful treat .It gave them an opportuntiy to learn new skills.This Summer Camp aimed at keeping the students engaged and provided them an even platform to explore and express their creativity .They not only made memories while having fun but they were able to face their fears ,try new things,pushed their boundaries and realized self sufficiency .Every activity worth doing has a learning curve .

Mother's Day was celebrated on 7th May'22(Saturday).This auspicious day was celebrated with great pomp & show in our School.All the elegant,beautiful ,pretty supermoms of Nursery & K.G. classes werer specially invited .We tried our best to make the feel special.All were dressed so beautifully as if God showered different colours of Rainbow.The motive behind the celebration was to make them realise that they are not just Moms.Infact they are the lifeline,the world a strong reason to survive for their kids.We arranged few programs like passing the parcel,Rampwalk and many more for the endearing,ravishing Moms.All the glamorous & delighful mothers enjoyed the day to the fullest .We packed a little joy with fun as a surprise for them.They all were full of high spirits.A Group of students performed a dance for the b'ful & charming mothers.Many pretty moms shared their feeling with us by saying that we add such a beautiful and everlasting unforgettable memory in their life by maing them feel so special.The entire Kanossa Family is very thankful to all the mothers for appreciating or little efforts.

Sensory Bag Activity was celebrated on ____________ in our school.It was such an innovative activity that was conducted for our little toddlers.This activity was a beautiful blend of education with fun.As in this activity students have to identity the objects kept in a sensory bag by just sensing them with their hands only,they were not suppose to see te things and that was the main ingredient of this activity.Main motive of this activity was to make the students realise how to sense the things without viewing them by their eyes.It was really a fascinating day which add up a new and amazing experience in our student's life.They all enjoyed to the fullest.Here are few glimpses from Nursery & K.G.
